Use this to give the right recording notice for the state you are in, every sit, and keep a record that you did.
- Open the sit's brief. Under Before you start, the card names the state and its rule: all-party consent or one-party consent.
- If the card shows a line in quotes, say it to everyone at the table before you start.
- Optionally tap I said it to keep the time and version of the line with the sit. The start control is always available, including before you tap it.
- If the card says Location not detected, pick the state for this sit, then follow the card.
- In a one-party state the card may say no script is required. Your company can still ask for the line every sit; then the card says so and works as in an all-party state.
If anyone at the table says no to recording, do not start the sit.
Your company is responsible for any notice and consent the law requires before recording. The app reminds you and flags a missing disclosure during analysis; it never blocks or delays recording.
If it does not work
- The state is wrong: the sit's address sets it. Check the address on the brief; your home state is under Me, then Voice and consent, then Home state.
- The line itself looks wrong: your org admin sets the line and the rule for each state in Settings, under Consent.
