Run the mic check

Use this to know your phone will hear the room before the sit, not after it.

1. On Me, tap Mic check. On first run, tap Check next to Mic check on Before your first sit.
2. Under This phone, wait for the checks: Microphone access, Battery, Storage, Upload and Microphone in use. Each shows Pass or Fail, with the fix for a fail.
3. Put the phone where it stays during a sit, such as your shirt or pants pocket.
4. Tap Start the pocket test and talk in your normal voice for ten seconds.
5. Read the result. If it fails, follow the fix, then tap Run the test again.
6. Tap Done.

Run it before your first sit, and again after you change phones, cases or where you carry the phone.

If it does not work

• Microphone access fails: turn on the microphone for TrueSit in your phone's settings.
• Microphone in use fails: close any other app that is recording or on a call.
• Storage fails: free up space. A long sit needs room on the phone until it uploads.
• Upload fails: connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data.
